Let us tell you more about lettuce. This green veggie is a great, fresh, crunchy leafy food. Lettuce has a ton of nutrients and vitamins, such as beta-carotene and Vitamins A, B and C. This vegetable is good in limiting neurological damage as the brain ages as well as increasing resistance against infectious diseases and high blood pressure.

Lettuce is best consumed when crisp and bright. The leaves are the edible part, the root should be trashed. Raw lettuce is used to top sandwiches or burgers or as the main ingredient in salad.

Here are some of our favorite lettuce recipes, cauliflower salad and BLT salad.
