Let us tell you more about lettuce. This green veggie is a
great, fresh, crunchy leafy food. Lettuce has a ton of nutrients
and vitamins, such as beta-carotene and Vitamins A, B and C. This
vegetable is good in limiting neurological damage as the brain ages
as well as increasing resistance against infectious diseases and
high blood pressure.
Lettuce is best consumed when crisp and bright. The leaves are
the edible part, the root should be trashed. Raw lettuce is used to
top sandwiches or burgers or as the main ingredient in salad.
